Possible serious effects
- Pancreatitis: severe belly pain, sometimes into the back
- Gallbladder problems
- Kidney problems from dehydration
- Low blood sugar when taken with insulin or certain diabetes drugs
- Allergic reactions
Who should not use GLP-1s
- Personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer
- MEN 2 syndrome
- Pregnancy or planning pregnancy
- History of pancreatitis, with caution
- Severe stomach emptying problems

Are tirzepatide side effects worse than semaglutide?
